This quick start guide shows you how to navigate Engage, send effective emails, prepare contacts for outreach, and manage your daily sales activities.
Navigate Engage
Open Engage from your Gong sidebar to access all tools for prospect and customer outreach. The sidebar includes quick links to the main pages you’ll use to manage your daily sales activities.
Below is a closer look at the core Engage pages, and the key actions available on each.
To-dos
Your To-dos list shows tasks with a description, assignee, due date, and required action. This helps you stay on top of follow-ups and ensures nothing gets missed.

Types of to-dos
One-off to-dos: These are individual tasks you create for yourself. These can be email, call, or task types and can be linked to contacts, leads, accounts, or deals.
Flow to-dos: These are automatically generated by flow steps and appear when an outreach step requires your action.
Completing your to-do’s
Here are some ways to manage your to-dos efficiently:

Sort your to-do list: By default, your list shows overdue and today’s to-dos sorted by recent engagement, so you can prioritize active prospects. You can also sort by flow name, step number, or other fields.
Bulk actions: Save time by selecting multiple to-dos to:
Start a queue of tasks
Update due dates
Mark items as complete
Dismiss or skip
Click
to Remove from flow or Pause flow
Filtering: Filter to-do’s by due date, flow name, type, linked to accounts or deals, and CRM fields.
Work sequentially: Click the first to-do and use Next to move through them one after another.
