Before your team can make calls with the Gong Dialer, you need to enable it for each team member or team. You can do this from the Team members page, or if you’ve set up automatic provisioning, via the relevant assignment.
Once enabled, team members with an Engage seat can use both the web and mobile dialer. Team members with a Foundation seat can use the mobile dialer only.
Enable the dialer per team or team member
Use this when you want to turn on the dialer for a specific person or team without updating your provisioning configuration.
To enable the Gong Dialer:
From the left sidebar, click Admin center.
In the Settings tab, click Team members under People.
Select who to enable the dialer for:
A specific team member: Select the relevant team member to open the profile panel.
An entire team: Hover over the team manager's name and click the Edit team icon [image] to open the team profile panel.
Note:
Select the Individual contributors only checkbox to exclude the manager from the selection.
Scroll down to the Gong Dialer section, and turn on Gong Dialer.
This enables both the web and mobile dialer for the selected team members.
Enable the dialer through provisioning
If you provision team members from an IdP, update the assignment so that team members automatically have the Gong dialer enabled when they are provisioned to Gong.
Note:
You may be able to update provisioned team member settings in the Team members page. This depends on the update settings in the assignment.
To enable the Gong dialer through provisioning:
From the left sidebar, click Admin center.
In the Settings tab, click Team member provisioning under People.
Select the relevant assignment.
Scroll down to the Gong Dialer section and enable it.
