Tech admin, Business admin
Any Gong plan*
Connect Gong to a Microsoft Teams workspace to receive alerts and notifications about events in your Gong activities, share calls or call snippets to private or public channels in Teams, and upload comments from Teams to Gong. Gong connects to the MS Teams API and uses permission scopes to perform actions in Teams and in Gong.
Only Teams admins can install the Gong app in MS Teams. Once the integration has been set up, both business and tech admins can connect Teams to a Gong workspace.
Once connected, you can turn on notifications for calls across your organization, or allow individuals to turn on notifications for themselves.
Notifications are sent to a user’s personal Gong app in Teams when:
Someone comments on a call the user participated in or was invited to
Someone mentions or tags the user on a call
Someone shares a call in one of the user’s channels
Someone shares a call to a stream in one of the user’s channels
To receive a notification when a new call is added to a stream, you‘ll need to enable notifications in the stream.
You can do this by editing the stream’s settings at Conversations > Your library > Edit stream in Gong.
You can share calls in Teams via the Share call tab at the top right of the call page.
To receive notifications in private Teams channels, you’ll need to add Gong to that channel:
Open the channel
In the message field, type @Gong and then invite @Gong to join the channel.
