To set up the Gong - Ytel integration:
In Gong, click Company settings > Data capture > Telephony systems.
Click + Add telephony system.
Select Ytel. This sets up the connection between Gong and Ytel. In order to import Ytel calls to Gong, you must create credentials in Gong to use to configure a transport in Ytel.
Click CREATE NEW CREDENTIALS to generate sign-in credentials to be used in Ytel to connect to the Gong SFTP server.
Click Show password. Copy the username and password (via the Copy to clipboard button) to your clipboard to use later.
Note:
You can only see the password once.
Click CLOSE.
Log into Ytel with admin credentials. Create a transport with the following settings:
Name: a meaningful name for the transport, such as Gong
Type: SFTP
Destination Path: / (root folder)
Host: sftp-server.gong.io.
Port: (default) 22
User: The username created in Gong
Password: The password created in Gong
Open a support ticket with Ytel to ensure that all files have the following format: date-time_phoneNumber_userName.fileType. For example, /20200120-093305_1234566789_userName.mp3. This is required so that Gong can extract the call metadata.
Create a report in Ytel which exports calls using this transport. Configure the report as follows:
The reporting job type should be export report
Schedule the job to run once an hour
To disconnect from this telephony system, in the Telephony systems settings page, in the Ytel box, click Disconnect from Ytel.
