Branded URLs let emails sent from Gong use your company’s tracking domain instead of a generic Gong domain. This helps improve deliverability and creates a consistent brand experience for your recipients.
Branded URLs are available for Engage customers who use link click tracking in the Admin Center.
How branded URLs improve deliverability
Mailbox providers look for consistent, trustworthy signals when deciding whether to place an email in the inbox or spam. Branded URLs help by:
Building trust and authenticity: Tracking links use your domain (for example, tracking.yourcompany.com) instead of Gong’s. When the link domain aligns with the sender’s email domain, it signals authenticity to spam filters and to your recipients.
Strengthening your domain reputation: When recipients consistently engage with emails that use your tracking domain, mailbox providers associate that domain with positive activity. Over time, this improves your reputation and supports better inbox placement.
Improving recipient confidence: When a recipient hovers over a link and sees a familiar domain, they are more likely to trust it and click. This reinforces a consistent brand experience across your emails.
How branded URLs work
Branded URLs replace Gong’s default tracking domain with your own subdomain. Gong still handles routing and counting link clicks. The only change is the domain that appears in the link.
When you add a link to an email, Gong wraps it for click tracking.

This update applies only to link click tracking. It does not change your sending domain and does not enable sending or receiving email from multiple domains.
What you need to set up
Setting up a branded URL requires help from your IT or DNS team. Gong cannot turn this on because the setup includes changes to your domain’s DNS.
Your IT team should do the following:
Choose a subdomain: Select a subdomain to use for Gong tracking links. For example: email-tracking.your-company.com
Contact Gong Support: Open a support ticket to complete setup. This includes creating a CNAM record.
Additional notes
There is no additional IT maintenance after the initial DNS setup.
There are no changes to reporting or analytics.
This feature only changes the domain used for link click tracking. It does not allow sending or receiving email from multiple domains.
