Article summary

Revenue analytics is rolling out in October 2024
Who’s this for: RevOps
Where to go: Deals > Dashboards
Who can do this: Individuals with permission to manage revenue analytics

The Deals widget displays the first 20 deals from a selected deal board tab, based on sorting criteria and filters that you set, such as the highest amount for open deals.

Building a deals widget

To build a new deals widget:

  1. Select your dashboard, click +New widget and select Deals from the gallery.

  2. In the dashboard header, click to rename your widget and, optionally, + Add description.

  3. Under Deal board, select the deal board from which the deals displayed in the widget are derived.

  4. Under Pipeline, select the Default deal board tab from which deals are derived. If you want viewers to not be able to change this selection, uncheck Add dropdown to widget.

  5. Under Columns, we import the initial 10 fixed deal board columns and the team member, date, and amount columns configured in the board. These are all included in the widget by default and are ordered as in the original deal board. You can customize the list by removing some of them (except for Deal name, which can't be removed). Viewers can later sort the list by any of the selected columns.

  6. Under Filters, set the criteria to include a deal in the widget. For example: deal amount is greater than 30,000

  7. Under Select team and period, you’ll notice the team member and date fields are set to be dynamic and respond to whatever is selected in your dashboard. You can change them to fixed values.

    Note:

If you select fixed values for the team member and period, the widget would no longer respond to selections made on the dashboard level.

  8. Play with the Preview options on the right to validate your settings. When you’re happy with the results, click Save.

Best practices

To make the most out of your deals widget, we recommend:

Building your deal boards in advance

  • Create several deal boards to use as a foundation for your deals widgets. For example, a deal board with three tabs for open deals, closed-won deals, and closed-lost deals could serve a baseline for deals widgets in a performance review dashboard.

  • Leverage our smart trackers to find the deals that match your use-cases.

Filtering by warnings and scores

Filter the widget by warnings and deal likelihood scores to spot risk in your pipeline.
