Who can use this: Business admin
Available on: Gong Engage
Required permissions:
Change which ruleset governs a flow when you want to update how that flow responds to replies, meetings, or other events, without editing the ruleset itself or affecting other flows that use it. Anyone with permission to edit a flow can change the ruleset assigned to it, even if you don’t have permission to edit the ruleset itself.
Change a flow's ruleset
You can change the ruleset on any flow you have permission to edit. The change takes effect immediately for all contacts currently in the flow, including those already active in it.
To change a flow's ruleset:
From the left sidebar, click Assets, and select Flows.
Select the flow you want to update.
Click Settings.
Click Change ruleset.
Select a ruleset from the list, then click Select.
Click Save.
Note:
Changing a ruleset does not allow you to edit the ruleset's rules from the flow settings. To create or edit rulesets, go to Assets > Flow rulesets. You need the Create and manage flow rulesets permission to do this. Learn more about creating and managing rulesets.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see a Change ruleset option?
You need permission to edit the flow. For company flows, this requires the Create and manage company flows permission. For personal flows, you can edit only your own flows. If you have permission but the option is still not visible, contact your Gong admin.
Does changing a ruleset affect contacts already in the flow?
Yes. The new ruleset applies immediately to all contacts in the flow, including active ones. Their outreach behavior changes as soon as the next event occurs (a reply, a bounce, a CRM update, and so on).
