Who can use this: Any team member
Available on: Gong Engage
Ideal for: Sales rep
Add contacts to Engage flows directly from your CRM. You can add them one at a time from a contact record, or in bulk from a report or list view. Bulk add requires your CRM account to be connected to Gong via OAuth.
Before you begin
The Gong Extension is installed and active.
You are signed in to Gong.
For bulk add, your CRM account is connected to Gong via OAuth. If you have not done this yet, you will receive an error when you try to bulk add.
Add one person to a flow
From any supported CRM contact or lead record, you can add that person to a flow.
To add one person to a flow:
Open the contact or lead record in your CRM.
Click Add to Gong list to select the contact, then select the flow in the extension panel.
Confirm.
Add multiple people to a flow from a report or list
Select multiple contacts in a supported CRM report or list view and add them to a flow in one action. The selection limit is 2,000 people.
To add multiple people to a flow:
Go to a supported CRM report or list view.
Select the contacts you want to add. You can select up to 2,000 people at a time.
Click Add all to Gong list.
Select the flow you want to add them to in the extension panel.
Confirm.
Note:
In Salesforce, bulk selection is supported on Account Contacts, Opportunity Contact Roles, campaigns, and flat reports with no chart and no grouping. A report also needs a unique contact or lead identifier in its first column, and at least one of these columns: First Name, Last Name, Full Name, Name, Contact Name, Lead Name, Contact Id, Lead Id, or Member Id. Bulk selection is not supported on joined support or dynamic related lists. If your report type is unsupported, try using a list view instead.
In Dynamics 365, bulk selection is available from Saved Contact lists (Read only Grid), Saved Lead lists (Read only Grid), and the Contact list inside an Account.
Frequently asked questions
Why am I getting an error when clicking Add all to Gong list?
If you try to bulk-select people without connecting Gong to your CRM via OAuth flow first, you’ll receive an error. To connect your Gong and your CRM accounts using OAuth:
Go to Engagement > People or Account console. Select a contact or lead to open contact view, then click View contact in CRM. From here, log in to your CRM, or,
Go to Revenue > Deals. At the top right corner, click the More actions menu and click Connect user to [Salesforce / Dynamics 365].
Your CRM profile or permission set must have the API Enabled permission enabled, and you must have read/write access on the relevant objects.
For Salesforce only: To successfully add people to flows from Salesforce, the report cannot contain any charts. The first column of the report must contain a unique identifier for the contact or lead, such as an email address.
If you see "This report type isn't supported," the report doesn't meet the requirements above. Use a flat report with no chart and no grouping, with an identifying column first.
Do I need to connect via OAuth before using bulk add?
Yes. Bulk add requires your CRM user account to be connected to Gong through OAuth. If it isn’t connected, Gong displays an error. Single-person adds are documented separately and may not require this connection.
Is there a limit to how many people I can add at once?
Yes. The selection limit for bulk add is 2,000 people at a time.
