Call quality in the Gong Dialer

Prev Next

Who can use this: Any team member

Available on: Gong Engage

Ideal for: Sales rep

The Gong Dialer shows the quality of your connection during a call, and, when your connection is unstable, suggests ways to improve the quality for your next call. These signals can indicate whether audio problems originate from your connection.

Check your connection quality during a call

While you are on a call, a signal icon in the dialer header shows the quality of your connection. Hover over the icon to see the status. The icon updates as your connection changes, so it returns to a stable state when your connection recovers:

  • Three or four bars: Indicates your connection is stable

  • One or two bars: Indicates your connection is unstable

Rate your call quality

After a connected call, the call summary asks you to rate the call quality.

To rate your call quality:

  1. When the call ends, select a star rating under How was your call quality?

  2. (Optional) Enter your feedback in the comment field. If you select one to three stars, enter your city in the City field.

  3. Click Submit.

Review connection suggestions

If the connection was unstable for a sustained part of the call, suggestions for improving your next call may appear below the rating in the call summary:

  • Move closer to your Wi-Fi router

  • Close browser tabs and background apps

  • Disconnect from your VPN
