The benefits of pre-trained smart trackers
Common concepts are covered across sales conversations in diverse industries. Tracking these concepts helps sales organizations gain insights into their sales processes and find specific opportunities and risks. Such insights can be key for effective pipeline review, streamlining sales play execution, generating handoff documents, triggering an automation, and more.
Gong’s pre-trained smart trackers, developed to support Gong playbooks, can be used anywhere you use smart trackers. When used in playbooks, they enable Gong AI to suggest the status of each element in the methodology by providing a summary of the tracker’s key findings across recorded conversations associated with that deal.
Activating pre-trained smart trackers
Go to Company settings > Trackers.
In the Tracker type field, choose Smart trackers by Gong.
To activate a specific tracker, click Activate. This opens a modal where you can choose:
Whether you want to track the concept in calls or in calls and emails
How far back you want to apply tracker results
Whether you want to be notified when new results are ready
Whether you want to create a stream so that you can be notified when new calls match these tracker.
Note: Pre-trained smart trackers can’t currently be edited. You can customize whether they run on calls only, or calls and emails.
Pre-trained smart trackers for playbooks
Each element in Gong’s ready-made playbooks is associated with a smart tracker that was built to support it. You can remove the tracker or replace it with a tracker that your company built. If you leave the one that’s part of the playbook, it will be activated when the playbook is published. This activation goes back three months, and is set to track both calls and emails.
