When the pre-call email is enabled, external invitees receive an email ten minutes before every web conference call as a reminder, and to let them know that the call will be recorded. The email is sent for all recorded calls, including calls recorded with native Zoom recording or scheduled via the Gong homepage or by adding the Gong assistant.
Follow the steps below as part of the flow for adding or editing a consent profile.
-
From your Gong company setting page, go to Recording Consent and add or edit a consent profile.
-
In the Pre-call email area, click Show Settings.
To the right of the title, you can see if the pre-call email has been enabled or disabled.
-
(Optional) In the Language area, select the language for the pre-call email.
-
(Optional) Customize the legal footer accompanying the email.
-
Insert a link to your org privacy policy to include in the email.
-
If you want, you can send yourself a copy of the email to see what it looks like.
Note
-
The pre-call email can be enabled together with any other consent option, including when using native Zoom recording.
