Associating calls to accounts or opportunities enables the call to be included in the deal and account activity which is visible in the Deals and Account pages. Typically, calls are automatically associated with the correct account or opportunity, but if a call is imported or incorrectly associated (perhaps because the contact has multiple email addresses, or because a single account has multiple opportunities), you can manually associate it to the correct account via the call page.
Note:
Calls can't be associated to leads or call participants.
Once you manually associate calls, the call will no longer be updated with new information. For example, if a CRM contact is only defined for one of the call participants after the call is manually associated, that contact won’t be associated with the call.
Associate an unassociated call
Click in the top right corner of the call page, and select Manually associate call.
Select the Account and Opportunity you want to associate the call with. Hover over the account or oppotunity to see their CRM details.
Click +Add assocation to associate the call with multiple accounts or oppotunities.
Click Update. The association may take up to one hour to show up in Gong.
Change a call's existing association
Click in the top right corner of the call page, and select Manually associate call.
In the dialog that opens, click on the line of the account / opportunity that you want to remove association for.
Click Update.
