Compliance to US law

Broadly speaking, US state policies require either one-party consent, or two-party (all-party) consent in order to legally record a call, meaning the parties need to be informed that the call is being recorded. As a standard best practice, it is recommended to always inform everyone on the call that the call will be recorded.

Note that typically, local law of the call participant is what determines the legality of the call.
