There are multiple ways to add someone to Gong: manually, as described here, or by importing with team member provisioning. See this for more info about provisioning team members.
-
In your company settings page, click Team members.
-
Click ADD A TEAM MEMBER.
-
In the Personal details section, do the following:
-
Enter the new team member's first name and last name.
-
Enter the team member's email address and if required any email addresses that are aliases to the primary email. Gong verifies that email addresses you enter are not already associated with another user account.
-
Enter phone information.
-
You can also set the team member's time zone and locale here. Locale is a set of paramaters that defines regional settings. It includes language, when the week starts, number and currency formatting, and more.
-
-
In the Languages spoken during calls section, set the languages your team members will be speaking. For certain languages, this enables us to provide corresponding transcripts and insights. For more, see this.
-
In the Work and permission settings section, set the team member's title, direct manager's name and workspace.
Tip
Use the Manager field to create and manage team hierarchy in Gong. This is useful if you are not connected to Salesforce and not managing team hierarchy there.
-
In the Permission profile list, select the profile you want for this team member. Permission profiles define what the person can access in Gong. Learn more about them here. To allow this person to handle set up and technical integrations, check Technical administrator. Tech admins can access company, people, integration, data capture and optimization settings in Gong.
-
In the Data capture settings section, set the following:
-
Web conferences: Set whether or not to record this person's web conferences. If you want to make sure this person never gets recorded, set that here.
-
Calendar meetings: Set whether or not to import calendar meetings. Your system may have been configured to only import meetings set to be recorded, or to record all meetings, including those not set to be recorded. Click here for more information.
-
Telephony system calls: Set whether or not to import recorded calls made on telephony systems.
-
Gong Connect (free beta): Set whether or not to import recorded calls made via Gong Connect. For more, see this.
-
Email import: Set whether or not to import emails this person sends or receives.
-
-
In the Recording settings section, under Associated Meeting URLs, enter the team member's Personal Meeting URL. If the team member has multiple URLs, write each one on a separate line. This enables us to associate a meeting link with this person.
-
Is this team member new to Gong? In the Welcome Email sections, you can get them send them a welcome email. If you don't want to send the email now, you can send it at a later date, via the action menu.
-
To save and apply these changes, click Add Team Member.
