Gong supports 70+ languages, so you get conversation insights in the languages that you and your customers are speaking. Search transcripts, use trackers, identify questions, and more. Gong automatically detects 20+ languages (see top 2 tables below). Another 50+ languages (see table 3) must be set by your Gong admin in order for Gong to detect them.
The tables below show the languages supported in Gong, and the features supported in each language. Below the tables are short descriptions of each feature.
Table 1: Automatically supported languages with hyper-optimized transcription.
Table 2: Automatically supported languages with standard transcription.
Table 3: Languages with standard transcription that must be set as a spoken language so that Gong can identify them and transcribe calls.
In addition to the features described below, your team can use many of Gong’s core functionalities in any language.
For example, you can use Gong for onboarding, coaching, deal execution and strategic initiatives in any language. This includes coaching inbox and metrics, deal drivers, conversation stats, pipeline review, account review, deal insights, and more.
There are two ways to set spoken languages:
Note
If you’ll be speaking in any language that we don't automatically detect, you’ll need to set all of the languages you speak. So, for example, if you speak Polish and English on your calls, you’ll need to set both of them as spoken languages.

Transcripts
Types of transcripts
-
Static transcripts: These are available for all supported languages. View them via the action menu > View Transcript.
Read-along transcripts: This can be viewed alongside the call recording, and are displayed for all calls processed in English by default. Read-along transcripts for calls processed in other languages are visible if they have been enabled by your tech admin. For more about read-along transcripts, see this.
Transcript quality
-
Hyper-optimized: Transcription quality is best-in-class, with very high accuracy for a smooth, natural reading experience.
-
Standard: Transcription quality is standard with an error rate that is equal to the industry standard. This transcription is supported by speech to text services provided by Google and AWS.
Call spotlight
Save time reviewing, preparing for, and following up on calls with call spotlight. See important information at a glance, drill down into the details, get AI-generated answers to call-related questions, and more. Spotlight is available for customer-facing web conference calls and outbound telephony calls, highlighting a call's most important information, so you know what happened during a call, without listening to a moment of the recording. Learn more
Trackers
Trackers are words or phrases that are tracked across all or some calls, enabling you to hone in on the most important parts of a conversation. In addition to the out-of-the-box trackers that come with Gong, companies can set up their own trackers, to find and highlight the words and concepts that are most important to them. For more about trackers, see this.
Custom vocabulary
Improve transcriptions by adding terms that are unique to your business. If Gong transcribes a term incorrectly, you can add alternative transcriptions for the term in the custom vocabulary. When detected, Gong replaces the alternative transcriptions with the correct terms.
When you add a new term to your custom vocabulary and define its alternatives, you can select the language it appears in. When a call is conducted in that language, and the alternative term is found, it is replaced with the original term. For more about custom vocabulary, see this.
Topics
Topics are subjects that are frequently mentioned in your calls. Gong's AI and machine-learning technology identifies topics in your calls based on the number of times a subject was discussed, and the duration of the discussion, and surfaces them in your call. For more about topics, see this.
Call action items
Gong automatically detects and action items that were discussed on a call, making it easier for you to make sure that nothing falls through the cracks. For more about action items, see this.
Email labels
We automatically detect specific email labels according to the detected email content, allowing better navigation when reviewing all emails in an account. For example, pricing, red flag, scheduling.
Red flag alerts
These warnings appear when a prospect sends an email that presents a potential risk to a deal. By alerting you of the potential risk, you’ll be able to address it quickly. For more, see this.
Question ID
We automatically identify and group any questions asked during a call, by each side.
Consent page
The consent page is a personalized page, hosted by Gong, for obtaining record consent. The page is automatically displayed in the default language of the participant's browser when that browser is set in one of the supported languages. For more, see this.
Audio prompt/Pre-call emall
These two features assist with customer consent.
Audio prompt Informs call participants that a call is being recorded, and is enabled by default. You can set when the prompt plays, choose from several possible prompt texts, and choose whether the prompt is said by a male or female voice. For more, see this.
Pre-call email Customers receive an email 10 minutes ahead of a scheduled call reminding them of the call and that it’s going to be recorded. For more, see this.
