Who's this for: Admins in companies using Lever and Zoom.
Note
In Greenhouse, granting host rights is done for each interview by the person scheduling the interview. Go here to learn how.
In this step, we validate that interviewers using Lever with Zoom have host rights.
In Lever, granting host rights to the interviewer is a configuration setting that is set up once for all interviews. Follow the same steps to validate that interviewer host rights are set up correctly for any other web-conferencing system.
Typically, interview scheduling processes are set up to ensure that the interviewer has host rights, meaning the interviewer can control recording during the interview, i.e. stop, pause, and restart recording. This can be useful if the interview covers a particularly sensitive subject.
Who can do this: Lever administrator
-
In Lever, go to Settings > Integrations and API.
-
Under Partner integrations, click the Zoom logo.
-
In the Host Selection area, choose one of the following:
-
First interviewer: Lever will designate the first interviewer with a valid Zoom account as the Zoom host for the interview.
-
Provide specific hosts: This option is useful for panel interviews, and means that Lever allocates host rights round robin to verified Zoom accounts that you add here:
-
Enter the email address associated with the Zoom user that you want to designate as a primary host and click Save.
Note
The email does not need to be associated with a Lever user.
-
Click + Add account and add any additional users in your Zoom account that you wish to include in the round robin.
