# Managing credit usage

> **Who can use this**: Tech admin, Business admin
>
> **Available on**: Any Gong plan

Configuration affects how many credits Gong consumes.

Use the following methods to reduce credit usage:

- Limit the data included in AI trackers
- Reduce historical data backfill
- Apply filters to focus on relevant calls and emails

For briefs:

- Base as many sections on AI Tracker data as possible. These sections don’t consume credits.
