When a call is on air, you can [join the meeting or listen in](/v1/docs/listen-to-a-call) or [stop the recording](/v1/docs/prevent-or-stop-a-recording) via the homepage.

This article explains when the label shows.

## When calls are recorded by the Gong bot

**ON AIR** starts showing when the Gong recorder joins the meeting. This can vary depending on the web conferencing provider, but is at least 1 minute before the scheduled start time.

**ON AIR** stops showing when the meeting ends in the web conferencing software.

## When calls are recorded natively by Zoom

**ON AIR** typically shows about 15 minutes before the meeting is scheduled to start. If the meeting is started before the scheduled time, it shows when the meeting starts.

If you have back-to-back meetings and are using your personal room link, ON AIR shows at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.

**ON AIR** stops showing at the scheduled end time if the meeting has ended in Zoom. If the meeting continues, ON AIR will continue to show until the meeting ends, up to a maximum of 6 hours after the scheduled end time.

Any team member can access this feature if they have the required permissions.

Access to this feature depends on your [assigned seat](/v1/docs/plans-and-seats).
