# What you need from your telephony provider

In most cases, you need to retrieve the information from your telephony provider. There are a few providers where either Gong or the provider sets you up and then you enter the information Gong requires to connect. For Salesforce-related providers, set up the Salesforce connection before integrating with Gong.
