# Work with the call transcript

The call transcript appears alongside the recording on the call page. Use it to follow the conversation, find specific moments, create snips to share with colleagues, and download the full text.

## View and navigate the transcript

Open the transcript to read the spoken conversation synced to the call audio. As the audio plays, the corresponding lines are highlighted.

**To view the transcript:**

1. Open the call page.
2. Click the **Transcript** tab.
3. Click any line to jump to that moment in the call.

## Search the transcript

Search for a specific word or phrase to find that moment without scanning the full conversation.

**To search the transcript:**

1. Open the call page.
2. Click the **Transcript** tab.
3. Click in the **Search in transcript** field and type the word or phrase you are looking for.

## Create snips and add comments

Select any part of the transcript to open an action toolbar. From the toolbar you can create a snip and share it with colleagues or customers, add a comment, or save the snip to your call library.

**To create a snip or add a comment:**

1. Open the call page.
2. Click the **Transcript** tab.
3. Select the text you want to act on. An action toolbar appears above the selection.
4. Choose what you want to do from the toolbar.

## Download the transcript

Download the transcript to keep a copy outside Gong. If you have translated the transcript, the downloaded file is in the translated language.

**To download the transcript:**

1. Open the call page.
2. Click the **More actions** icon ![Action Menu.svg](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/MoreActions.svg?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-27T06%3A16%3A44Z&se=2026-10-27T07%3A16%3A44Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2BsNnh%2FGjxX0YCcDhWV8fDmPZV4e87Eh6Zo%2F0pfMBudo%3D)at the top right and select **Download transcript**.

Any team member can access this feature if they have the required permissions.

Access to this feature depends on your [assigned seat](/v1/docs/plans-and-seats).

A quota-carrying sales representative who manages client relationships. Reps can be Account executives (AEs) or Sales Development Representatives (SDRs).

A team member who manages a team of sales reps.
