# Troubleshoot performance issues with Gong.io

> **Who can use this**: Any team member
>
> **Available on**: Any Gong plan

If you are experiencing an issue where:

- CRM data is taking a long time to update, for example, your deal boards are slow to load, see [Gong-CRM data sync times](/v1/docs/gong-crm-data-sync-times)
- Gong pages are slow to load or Gong is running slowly in general, read on

## Restart your browser

Many web page performance issues are resolved by restarting your device. Close all active browser windows and restart your computer or device. Then load the site again. Check you internet is connected and you have adequate internet speed (you can do this with sites such as [Speedtest.net](http://Speedtest.net) or [Fast.com](http://Fast.com)).

## Update your browser

For optimal performance, make sure you’re using the latest version of your preferred browser. Older browser versions may not have the latest security updates, and may not support new technologies and standards. Use [What's my browser](https://www.whatismybrowser.com/) to check your browser version.

## Try an Incognito window

Check if you encounter the same issue in an incognito window.

Incognito windows allow you to browse privately and are not affected by cookies or the cache. This makes them useful for checking whether local cookies, plug-ins, or cache are causing the problem.

You can typically use the **New incognito window** option in your browser's menu or, use the following keyboard shortcuts:

- Google Chrome
  - Windows: Ctrl-Shift-N
  - Mac: Command-Shift-N
- Mozilla Firefox (Private Browsing)
  - Windows: Ctrl-Shift-P
  - Mac: Command-Shift-P
- Microsoft Edge (InPrivate)
  - Windows: Ctrl-Shift-N
  - Mac: Command-Shift-N

If using an incognito window resolves the issue, return to your regular browser, clear the cache, delete cookies, and check if the problem is resolved.

## Disable plug-ins

Browser plug-ins can interfere with website functionality and too many can slow your browser down. Review Try disabling them and see if the problem persists. This can usually be done via the browser's settings. Review your plug-ins regularly and remove those that are no longer needed or are causing performance issues.

## Check VPN or security tools

Check with your security team if there are any VPNs or security programs that could be impacting the Gong load time.

## Contact Support

If the issue isn’t resolved, open a [support ticket](https://contact.gong.io/hc/en-us/requests/new). To help us resolve it faster, make sure you’ve completed all the steps above before contacting our technical support team.

Any team member can access this feature if they have the required permissions.

Access to this feature depends on your [assigned seat](/v1/docs/plans-and-seats).
