Gong shows a setup prompt each time you sign in until the connections your company requires are complete. ## Step 1: Connect your calendar Connecting your calendar lets Gong see your scheduled meetings and automatically record web conference calls. If your company uses a company-wide calendar connection, your admin may have already completed this step. Check **Web conference recording** in My Settings to confirm. **To connect your calendar:** 1. Click the link in your Gong setup email, or follow the setup prompt that appears when you sign in to Gong. 2. Under **Web conference recording**, click **Connect**. 3. Follow the on-screen steps to authorize Gong in your calendar and web conference provider. ## Step 2: Connect your email Connecting your mailbox lets Gong import your customer-facing emails so they appear alongside your calls and meetings. Only external emails with contacts in your CRM are imported. **To connect your email:** 1. On the setup prompt, under **Emails**, click **Connect**. 2. Follow the on-screen steps to authorize Gong in your email provider. ## Step 3: Add your personal meeting URL If your company uses a [consent page](/v1/docs/understanding-recording-consent), Gong needs your personal meeting room URL to direct call participants to the consent page before they join. If you don't see this step on the setup prompt, your company does not require it. **To add your personal meeting URL:** 1. On the setup prompt, find the personal meeting URL field and enter the URL for your personal meeting room in your web conference provider. **Tip:** This is usually your personal Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams room URL, such as the link you share when inviting someone to a meeting. 2. Click **Save**. ## Frequently asked questions ****Why does the setup prompt keep appearing after I sign in?**** The prompt continues to appear until all required connections for your company are in place. Complete each of the steps above, or confirm with your admin which steps are required for your role and company setup. ****What if I don't see all three setup steps on the prompt?**** Not all setup steps appear for every team member. Which steps appear depends on your company's Gong configuration, your data capture settings, and whether your admin has already completed certain connections on your behalf. ****Where can I check my connection status after setup?**** Click your profile avatar at the top right and select **My settings**. The page shows the current status of your calendar, email, and other connections, and alerts you if something needs attention.
