# Set up Rippling SAML SSO authentication

## **Step 1: Set up Gong in Rippling**

1. Login into your Rippling Admin account.
2. On the Rippling dashboard, scroll down to the App Directory.
3. In the search box , type "Gong".
4. Click the Gong icon.
5. Click **Connect Existing Account**.
6. Select **I'm the Admin, I'll install it**.

If you're not a Gong Admin, select **Invite someone else to install it**, and nominate someone else to complete set up in Gong, as described here.

A new page appears containing the Identity Provider Metadata URL.
7. Copy the Identity Provider metadata link, and save it for when you need it in Gong (Step 2 below).
8. Click **Move to next step**, and follow Rippling's instructions to finish set up.

## **Step 2: Set up Rippling in Gong**

1. In Gong, click **Admin center > Settings** tab > **Company**> **Authentication**.
2. In the **Additional authentication providers** area, scroll to the SAML area. Ensure that **Generic SAML SSO** is selected.
3. Paste the Identity provider metadata link that you copied in step 7 above into the **Identity provider metadata URL** box.
4. In **AFTER LOGOUT, REDIRECT TO**, enter the URL you want to redirect people to after they sign out of Gong.
5. If you also want to set any other authentication methods, choose any of the other available methods. See [Set sign in method](/v1/docs/set-sign-in-method) for more info.
6. Click **Update**.
