# Run agents in the Gong Assistant

> **Who can use this**: Any team member
>
> **Available on**: Any Gong plan
>
> **Ideal for**: Sales manager, RevOps

Agents run in Gong Assistant and use the context available when they are launched. Team members can run an agent from the agents list or by using a slash command.

## Run an agent in Gong Assistant

Run an agent in Gong Assistant to apply the agent's instructions to the available Gong context.

**To run an agent in Gong Assistant:**

1. Navigate to a Gong page where **Gong Assistant** is available and filter or select the information you want the agent to analyze.
2. In the prompt, either:
  - Type / and select the agent you want to run.
  - Click the agents icon ![agent icon](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/agent.svg) and select the agent you want to run.
3. Review the output generated by the agent.

## How the page you run an agent from affects the results

Agents only use the information available on the current page.

For example, when a team member runs an agent from a call, the agent uses information from that conversation. When a team member runs an agent from the Calls page, the agent uses information from the calls currently displayed on the page, including any filters that have been applied.

Before running an agent, make sure the page contains the calls you want the agent to analyze.
