# Dashboards permissions

> **Who can use this**: Tech admin
>
> **Available on**: Gong Forecast

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**
>
> The service known as “Revenue analytics” is now called “Dashboards.” Dashboard assets, like metrics and targets, are now configured in the Admin center under “Data studio.”

Dashboards, metrics, and targets are managed through permissions in the Admin center. These permissions control who can create, edit, and manage analytics assets, while allowing broader teams to use approved data in dashboards and forecast boards.

## Dashboards, metrics, and targets permissions

> **Where to go:**Admin center > Permission profiles > Business settings

The permission previously called **Manage Revenue Analytics** has been split into three separate permissions. This change allows more granular control over who can manage different analytics assets.

#### Dashboards

**Manage dashboards:** Create, edit, share, and delete dashboard widgets.

#### **Data studio**

**Manage metrics:** Create, edit, and delete metrics used across Gong

**Manage targets:**Create, upload, edit, and delete targets used across Gong

## Using dashboards without managing permissions

If you don’t have **Manage metrics** or **Manage targets permissions**, you can still:

- Use existing metrics and targets in dashboards
- Use existing metrics and targets in forecast boards

As long as you have:

- **Manage dashboards** permissions (for building dashboards), or
- **Manage forecast board** permissions (for working with forecast boards)

## Viewing dashboards

> **Where to go:**Admin center > Permission profiles > Pages

To view published dashboards, you must have the **Dashboards** **page permission** enabled in your permission profile:

> [!NOTE]
> **Best practices for permissions setup**
>
> - Grant **Manage metrics** and **Manage targets** to a small group of trusted admins to reduce the risk of breaking data
> - Use **Manage dashboards** to enable broader teams to build and share insights using approved data
> - Review permission profiles periodically to ensure access matches responsibility
