# Required administrator settings

## Required role permissions

The following role permissions are required for the Zoom admin to connect Gong:

### **User and Permission Management**

- **Users**: View and Edit permissions
- **User advanced settings**: View and Edit permissions
- **Recording management**: View and Edit permissions
- **View the recording content**: View permission

### **Zoom Rooms Management**

- **Zoom rooms**: View permission

## Required scopes

The following scopes are required for the Zoom integration:

| Scope | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **View all user meetings/meeting:read:admin** | Gong uses meeting information to attribute Gong calls to the correct [owner](/v1/docs/how-gong-identifies-the-call-owner), and to match Zoom meetings to the correct Gong calls when [native Zoom recording](/v1/docs/native-zoom-recording) is enabled. |
| **View and manage all user meetings/meeting:write:admin** | Gong creates Zoom meetings on behalf of the Gong user when using the Gong consent page with dynamic links. We also enable auto-recording for calls that should be recorded when native Zoom recording is enabled. |
| **View all user recordings/recording:read:admin** | Gong retrieves Zoom cloud recordings for Gong calls when native Zoom recording is enabled. |
| **View and manage all user recordings/recording:write:admin** | Gong deletes the recording for retrieved calls when native Zoom recording is enabled. |
| **View all users' Zoom Rooms information/room:read:admin** | Gong syncs Zoom Rooms to more accurately attribute the Gong call owner. |
| **View all user information/user:read:admin** | Gong syncs and fixes user settings required for recording, for Gong’s recorded users. |
| **View users information and manage users/user:write:admin** | Gong syncs and fixes user settings required for recording, for Gong’s recorded users. |
