# Record meetings on mobile

> **Who can use this**: Any team member
>
> **Available on**: Any Gong plan

With the Gong app on your mobile device, you can record scheduled web conference meetings as well as spontaneous, face-to-face meetings, and have them analyzed and transcribed in Gong. To record on mobile, the **Manually schedule and upload permission** must be enabled in your user profile. For more about permissions, see [this](/v1/docs/available-permission-settings)

## Record scheduled meetings

To record scheduled meetings using the Gong app, make sure:

- Your phone's native calendar app (not the Google or Outlook calendar app) grants full access to the Gong app.
- Your phone's native calendar app is synced with the Google or Outlook calendar that you use with Gong.

If you've met these prerequisites, you're good to go. Here's how:

1. Open the Gong app and tap![Record_meeting.png](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/25591808291341.png) at the top right. You'll see a calendar icon with the name of scheduled meetings within the next 2 hours.
2. Tap **RECORD** to associate the recording with a specific meeting. (You can also tap **SKIP**, in which case you'll record, but the recording won't be associated with the meeting.)
3. Tap ![Record_ad_hoc.png](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/25591783549069.png) to start recording,![Mobile_call_pause_recording.png](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/25591783640973.png) to pause it, and ![Record_ad_hoc.png](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/25591783549069.png) to resume recording.
4. When you're finished, tap ![Mobile_call_stop_recording.png](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/25591775840141.png) to stop the recording. Give the recording a name and then tap **Save**.

The recording is uploaded to Gong, analyzed and transcribed.

## Record spontaneous meetings

You can record spontaneous face-to-face meetings that aren't scheduled in your calendar with the Gong mobile app.

These recordings are audio only, and if you're in a noisy environment, the quality may not be optimal. If you're meeting in a meeting room, place your mobile device as close to the speakers as possible.

1. Open the Gong app and tap![Record_meeting.png](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/25591808291341.png) at the top right.

Give the recording a name, associate it with an account and/or an opportunity (optional), and then tap **Save**.

The recording is uploaded to Gong, analyzed, and transcribed.

## Add call outcomes

[Add call outcomes](/v1/docs/make-calls-with-gong?highlight=engage%20call%20outcomes) when the call is over so it’s easier to keep track of how the call went, and handle follow-up conversations.

## See recent meetings

See the upload status of recently recorded calls, and take relevant actions, via the Recents tab that’s accessible from the meeting recording page. You can also see a log of all of your recent recordings, and the status of their upload and analysis.
