# Install Gong for Salesforce

The Gong for Salesforce app creates objects in Salesforce that enable Gong to export data to Salesforce. The app sets up:

- **The Gong Conversation Salesforce object**: an object which displays Gong calls along with relevant CRM information, such as the account the call is associated with.
- **A set of custom objects**: objects necessary to create a relational database structure. See [About Gong for Salesforce data model & structure](/v1/docs/about-gong-for-salesforce-data-model-structure).
- **A canvas app**: for the call highlights and transcript.
- **Preset reports and dashboards**: to see how your reps are performing
- **Preset permission sets**: the permission sets enable access to all objects in the Gong for Salesforce app

## **Requirements**

- You need a Salesforce Enterprise license to install the Gong for Salesforce app.
- Make sure that you have enough free data storage in Salesforce. Gong for Salesforce uses a single API call to create a new Gong Conversation record, which creates approximately 25-40 additional child records. Each record takes up to 2KB of data. See [Accessing the Salesforce API](/v1/docs/accessing-the-salesforce-api) and [Viewing API batch size](/v1/docs/viewing-api-batch-size).
- Make sure you have at least 3 custom fields free: 2 in the opportunity object and 1 in the account object. These will be used by Gong.

## Install the app

1. Go to the Gong.io listing in [AppExchange](https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N3A00000FeGgcUAF), and click **Get It Now**.

> Note:
> 
> Gong for Salesforce is a free app. In AppExchange, it's listed as costing a dollar since this is the lowest amount AppExchange allows when listing an app. You won't be billed for installing it.
2. Click **Log In**.
3. Complete your **AppExchange login**.
4. Click **Get It Now** to install the app in your production environment, or **Try It Free** to install on your **Sandbox** environment.
5. Confirm the installation details, agree to the **Terms and Conditions**, and click **Confirm and Install**.
6. Select **Install for All Users** and click **Install**.
7. The installation process starts followed by a progress notification.
8. Click **Done** when the installation is complete.

> Note:
> 
> The installation can take a while if the Salesforce servers are busy. If there’s a delay, you will be notified via email when the installation is complete.
9. Once the installation is complete, follow the steps in [Post installation configurations](/v1/docs/post-installation-configurations) to set up Salesforce to see Gong data.
