# Include specific deals in deal and forecast boards

> **Who can use this**: Any team member
>
> **Available on**: Gong Foundation
>
> **Ideal for**: RevOps

> **Where to go:**Revenue > Forecast

> **Where to go:**Revenue > Deals

It's typical to include deals with a specific status or criteria, such as **Committed**, in your deal or forecast boards. However, you might need to highlight certain deals as key deals, regardless of their status. This allows you to focus on the deals that matter most, giving you greater control over your pipeline, and more accurate forecasting.

To include specific deals in your deal or forecast board*, there are 4 steps:

1. Add a new Yes/No property in your CRM.
2. Import it into Gong.
3. Add the field to your board. This allows you to indicate whether a deal should be included by tagging them as Yes or No either in the CRM or in a board column in Gong.
4. Finally, you can use tabs/categories to configure your board and filter for key deals.

Anyone with access to the board can [add the field as a group or filter](/v1/docs/include-specific-deals-in-deal-and-forecast-boards#adding-a-custom-field-to-create-an-adhoc-pipeline-board) to refine the board data ad-hoc and create various forecast scenarios.

**Step 1: Create a new Yes/No custom CRM field**

Follow these instructions in your CRM:

1. Create a new Yes/No field (in Salesforce – Boolean, Hubspot – Single checkbox, Dynamics 365 – Two options) in the deal/opportunity area.
2. Give the new field a name, for example, Key deal.

**Step 2: Import the new field into Gong**

Here’s how to import your new field into Gong using [Salesforce](/v1/docs/set-import-of-salesforce-fields), [HubSpot](/v1/docs/set-import-of-hubspot-fields) or [Dynamics 365](/v1/docs/manage-your-dynamics-365-integration).

> It may take up to 24 hours for the sync to complete.

**Step 3: Add the new field as a column to your deal/forecast board**

Now add your field as a column to any board, where you can select the deal value:

1. Adding a column can be done either:
  1. On a deal board: Go to **Deals** > **Pipeline** > **Edit board**.
  2. On a forecast board: Go to **Forecast** > **Forecast settings**.
2. Click **+ Add column** and add your new field.

3. Use the column to select the value of each deal as **Yes** or **No**. This can be done by any team member with access to the board.

**Step 4: Use the new field as a tab (deal board) or category (forecast board)**

Easily refine your deals by using your new field as a tab on a deal board, or a category on a forecast board*.

> [!NOTE]
> Note:
>
> Adding a tab to a deal board or a category in a forecast board involves changing the boards configuration, so you’ll need to have deal board permissions.

Follow these instructions to do it:

1. You can add a tab/category either:
  1. On a deal board: Go to **Deals** > **Pipeline**> **Edit board**> + **Add tab**.

  2. On a forecast board: Go to **Forecast** > **Forecast settings** > + **Add category**.

2. Select the relevant CRM field, and choose **Yes** as the filter. Move it to where you want it to appear on your board.
3. Click **Save**.

## Adding a custom field to create an ad-hoc pipeline board

Once your deal/forecast board is set-up, anyone in the company can use filters and groups to refine the data ad-hoc. While this won’t change the overall configuration of your board, it offers a quicker way to filter for specific deals, enabling you to create multiple forecast scenarios.

**To add a group**:

1. On the sidebar, click **+ Add group**.
2. Select your custom field, then check the **Yes** box.

**To add a filter**:

1. Click **Add filter**.
2. Select your custom field, check the **Yes** box, and click **Apply**.
