Filtering your base objects (deals or accounts) is rarely as straightforward as saying “Pull all the deals" More often, it requires a more detailed and investigative approach, involving combinations of criteria. For example, "Pull all the deals AND ensure their status is closed-won" or "Pull open deals OR closed-lost deals”. This is where the use of conjunctions becomes handy.

## Using conjunctions

Effectively filtering your objects to generate meaningful data points often requires multiple conditions, connected with logical conjunctions - **And** for when you need all conditions to be met, and **Or** for when you want to meet any condition.

In the following example, two conditions are connected using the And conjunction. The whole phrase reads as: "Pull deals that were not closed-lost/closed-won AND their type is New Business/Upsell”.

## Using condition groups

To build more complex filters, combine **single conditions** nested within **condition groups**.

For example, a rule that says “Pull deals that are not closed AND their amount is greater than 30K OR deals that are closed AND their amount is less than 15K”:
