To protect your company's sender reputation and keep your emails out of spam, your admin can set sending limits on flow emails. This article lists each limit and what happens when you reach one. ## Limits and when they reset Your admin sets the numbers for each of the five limits, and Engage tracks them independently: | Limit | What it counts | When it resets | | --- | --- | --- | | Sender, per day | Flow emails you send in a day | At midnight (12 AM) in your time zone | | Sender, per week | Flow emails you send in a week | At midnight (12 AM) at the start of Saturday, in your time zone | | Company, per day | Flow emails your whole company sends in a day | Rolling 24-hour window | | Same recipient, per day | Flow emails your company sends to one recipient in a day | Rolling 24-hour window | | Same recipient domain, per day | Flow emails your company sends to recipients in the same domain (company) in a day. Generic domains such as Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook are excluded. | Rolling 24-hour window | > [!NOTE] > Note: > > All types of emails count toward reaching a limit, but once a limit is reached, only flow emails are restricted. You can still send non-flow emails. ## How you know when you're near or at a limit When you are close to a flow email limit or have reached one, Gong tells you on the To-dos page and in the email composer. When you're close to a limit, you might see one of these messages: - **You're close to your daily limit for flow emails:** You have x flow emails left for today. To keep sending flow emails, schedule them for later. - **You're close to your weekly limit for flow emails:** You have x flow emails left for this week. To keep sending flow emails, schedule them for later. - **Your company is close to your daily limit for flow emails:** Your company has x flow emails left for today. To keep sending flow emails, schedule them for later. When you've reached a limit, you might see one of these messages: - **You've reached your daily limit for flow emails:** You can still edit or schedule flow emails. Non-flow emails can still be sent today. - **You've reached your weekly limit for flow emails:** You can still edit or schedule flow emails. Non-flow emails can still be sent this week. - **Your company has reached your daily limit for flow emails:** You can still edit or schedule flow emails. Non-flow emails can still be sent today. - **Your company has reached your daily limit for flow emails to [name]:** You can still edit or schedule flow emails for this recipient. Non-flow emails can still be sent today. - **Your company has reached your daily limit for flow emails to this account:** You can still edit or schedule flow emails for this account. Non-flow emails can still be sent today. ## What happens when you reach a limit What happens depends on the kind of email: - **Manual flow emails:** The **Send** button is replaced with **Send later**. Edit the email, or schedule it for another day. Gong doesn't delay it for you. - **Auto flow emails:** Gong snoozes them automatically and sends them on the next available business day at 8:00 AM in your local time. You don't need to do anything. - **Non-flow emails:** You can still send a manual email that isn't part of a flow. An email that is delayed to a later day counts toward the limits of the day it is actually sent. For example, an email scheduled for today but pushed to tomorrow counts toward tomorrow's limits. While a delayed email waits, it shows as **Pending** in Messages.
