# Built-in exclude lists

Gong has set up global lists of terms and email prefixes which are used to avoid importing emails not related to your business. When the term is found in the email prefix, email subject, and web conference invitations, that email is not imported to Gong. This global list is applied to all customers and cannot be edited.

In addition, you can define a list specific to the needs of your company with terms, prefixes to avoid. For details of how to edit these lists, see [Excluding emails from import](/v1/docs/excluding-emails-from-import).

This article lists the terms in the global exclude lists.

## Global email import exclude list

### Words in email subject

Emails are not imported into Gong when they include the following terms in the email subject line (for companies that onboarded after April 7, 2021):

- 401k
- confidential
- interview
- offer letter
- private
- privileged
- sensitive

### Email prefixes

Emails aren’t imported into Gong when they are sent or received from addresses outside your company domain that include the following prefixes (for companies that onboarded after April 7, 2021). We compare the term with the prefix and exclude emails with prefixes that are similar to the term, for example doNotReply, do_not_reply, do-not-reply will be excluded:

Emails with the following prefixes will not be imported when there is an exact match:

### Web conference exclude list

Web conference calls are not recorded by Gong when they include the following terms in the subject line (for companies that onboarded after April 7, 2021):

- 1:1
- 1-1
- 1x1
- 1<>1
- 1 on 1
- confidential
- interview
- one on one
- one-on-one
- private
- privileged
- sensitive
