Create and manage account and deal briefs

This feature is in beta, and currently accessible to a select group of customers.

Enable your team to get up-to-speed quickly on accounts and deals with briefs. Using Gong AI, briefs identify and summarize key information from multiple conversations, so team members get briefed quickly and efficiently. Benefits of briefs include:

• Knowledge transfer between people and teams

• Quick preparation for upcoming meetings

• Key topic summary over multiple conversations

Where to find them

Account and deal briefs are available from:

• Account pages

• Deal boards

• Engage Account pages

• Homepage (coming soon)

On the account page

1. Open the account page and click Account AI in the top right corner.

2. In the panel that opens, select a brief and click Generate brief.

3. To customize the date range or choose a different deal in this account, click Change.

From the deal board

1. From a deal board, click on any deal to open a panel on the right, already open on the Deal AI tab.

2. Select a brief and click Generate brief.

3. To customize the date range or choose a different deal in this account, click Change.

On the Engage Accounts page

1. Open the Engage Account page, choose an account, and click Account AI in the top right corner.

2. To customize the date range or choose a different deal in this account, click Change.

Considerations

Date range limitations: Choose from preset or custom date ranges up to 1 year. In the results, we cover up to 60 calls and 500 emails. If the time period selected includes more than this number of calls or emails, not all conversations will be included in the results.

Create custom account or deal briefs for your team

1. Go to Company settings > Customize analysis > Briefs.

   

2. From the Briefs page, you’ll see preset briefs created by Gong, and briefs that you’ve built. To create a new brief, click +New brief.

   

3. Duplicate a preset template and customize, or start from scratch.

4. Give the brief a name and add a description. Add sections, each one covering a topic you want summarized in the brief, and choose whether you want the topic found and summarized by Gong AI or with a smart tracker.

5. Click Test AI to test the section on any account or deal during a specific time period.

   

6. Publish the brief to make it available for your team.
