# Connect Gong to Salesforce

> **Who can use this**: Tech admin and Salesforce admin
>
> **Available on**: Any Gong plan

> **Where to go:**Admin center > Settings > CRM

#### To connect Gong to Salesforce:

1. In the **CRM**page, select Salesforce. You can only connect one CRM to Gong.
2. In the Salesforce integration settings page, click **Connect** and log into your Salesforce account using the credentials of the integration user you set up.
3. When prompted, click **Allow** to authorize Gong to access Salesforce.

Gong asks for access to read data (Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity, Opportunity History, Field History tables, Task, Organization table and so on) using REST API. Provide write access to these objects if you want to export Gong activities to Salesforce.

> [!NOTE]
> Note:
>
> Ensure the integration user is set up with the [correct permissions](/v1/docs/salesforce-fields-the-integration-user-needs-access-to) in Salesforce. Providing read/write access when setting up the integration does not guarantee that entities will be imported and exported.

## In Salesforce

You must install the following Gong apps in your Salesforce organization. Once this is set up the first time, the apps are available for all Salesforce users:

1. Go to the Profile or Permission Set for the integration user.
2. Under System Permissions, check **Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps**.
3. Go to Setup > Connected Apps OAuth Usage and search for the following Gong connected apps:
  - **Gong Integration App**: Used for data ingest and enrichment, and for connecting through the Salesforce integration page.
  - **Gong.io user connection**: Manages each user’s connection when editing deals in Deal boards or contacts/leads in Engage.

> [!NOTE]
> Note:
>
> If this app isn’t displayed, this is because no Gong user has connected to Salesforce. In Gong, go to **Engage > Deals**> **Pipeline**. At the top right corner, click ![Action Menu.svg](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/MoreActions.svg) and click **Connect user to Salesforce**.
  - **Gong**: Used when Salesforce is your identity provider for SSO.
4. Click Install for each app.
