# Apply opportunity splits to your deal board

By implementing opportunity splits, organizations can make sure that everyone involved in closing a deal is recognized, and their contributions are reflected in revenue reports.

If you’re using opportunity splits in your CRM to share revenue between several members of the sales team, we support that in Gong in the following ways:

- In deal boards you can view [deals and track pipeline](/v1/docs/review-your-pipeline-on-a-deal-board) based on the team’s attributed share of the deal.
- In forecast boards, you’ll be [able to forecast](/v1/docs/how-to-forecast-1) for only the team’s attributed share of the deal.
- In dashboards, you can [create metrics and widgets](/v1/docs/build-your-own-metrics) that reflect each team’s share of deals and revenue. Gong attributes the relevant portion of the deal amount to each member, and rolls up totals accordingly.

### Considerations for using opportunity splits in Gong

- Check that opportunity splits are set up in your CRM. We only support Salesforce. If you’re using the standard Salesforce object – Opportunity splits, you’ll be able to easily set it up in Gong. Support for custom objects may be available with additional configuration. Contact your CSM to learn more.
- The Salesforce integration user must have access to any opportunity objects, such as opportunity teams, and splits.

### How to set up opportunity splits in your deal board

> **Where to go:**Revenue > Deals

To apply opportunity splits when [creating a deal board](/v1/docs/how-to-create-and-manage-deal-boards), check the relevant box in the **Amount** section, then choose the appropriate option in the **Basics** section.

#### Amount section

1. Click **Edit board** or **+ Create board**.
2. Make sure that the **AMOUNT** field is set to the CRM field that splits are applied to.
3. Under **OPPORTUNITY SPLITS**, select **APPLY OPPORTUNITY SPLITS IN DEAL AMOUNTS AND ROLLUPS**.

### Basics section

Under **Show deals where team members are in**, select **Opportunity splits only**, to adjust which deals appear. This is recommended so the deal board shows ONLY the deals where team members have opportunity splits.

You’ll notice there are three other options.

- **Team member attribute only** will be deactivated when opportunity splits have already been applied.
- **Team member attribute or opportunity team**, and **Opportunity team only** will return deals regardless of whether there are splits or not.

So selecting these may return deals where selected team members don't actually have splits.

### Viewing opportunity splits in the deal board

When viewing your deal board, ![Split.svg](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/Split.svg) appears next to amounts that are split. Click ![Split.svg](https://cdn.us.document360.io/2837c190-3ec8-4120-9116-6d427e774667/Images/Documentation/Split.svg) to see how portions of the deal value are attributed across team members.
