It's the right choice when you want leaders to see how different parts of the business are tracking on the same set of measures, for example win rate, ASP, and attainment in one view. ## Step 1: Open the dashboard You add widgets from inside an existing dashboard, so start by navigating to the one you want to build out. If you haven't created a dashboard yet, do that first. **To open the dashboard:** 1. From the left sidebar, click **Dashboards**. 2. Select the dashboard you want to add the widget to. 3. Click **+ New widget** at the top right of the dashboard. 4. Select **Team rollup**. > [!TIP] > Tip: > > If you have a lot of dashboards and aren't sure where to find yours, see [Find and organize dashboards](/docs/add-team-rollup-widget#) for guidance on searching, filtering, and navigating the Dashboards page. ## Step 2: Configure the metrics Each metric added to the widget becomes a column in the table. Think carefully about which metrics belong together. The Team rollup widget is most useful when all the metrics share a coherent definition of good performance. Mixing metrics that measure fundamentally different things makes the table harder to consume. **To configure the metrics:** 1. In the **Metric** section, click **Select metric** and choose a metric from the list. 2. (Optional) Refine each metric using the following options: - **Measure against target:** Select the checkbox on the metric section, then click **Select target** and choose a target. The column will show each row's value as a percentage of the target. - **Assign display colors to value ranges:** Select the checkbox on the metric section. Set the green threshold (is greater than) and the red threshold (is less than). The yellow range fills automatically. Reserve color coding for stable metrics where good performance is consistent across everyone on the dashboard, like win rate or attainment percentage. The same thresholds apply to every row, so if teams have different baselines, the colors can be misleading. If **Measure against target** is also enabled, the thresholds apply to the attainment percentage value, not the raw metric value. - **Drilldown view:** Click **Drilldown view** on the metric section and select the list view that will open when viewers click a cell to inspect its underlying records. - **Filter:** Click **+ Add filter** on the metric section. Select **Single condition** or **Condition group** and set the filter. - **Additional metrics:** Click **+ Add metric** at the top of the settings panel to add more columns. - You can drag and drop the metric sections to reorder the columns. ## Step 3: Set the team and period The team and period settings control whose data populates the table rows. The preview pane has a **Teams**/**Individuals** selector. That's a viewer display preference, and it doesn't affect the data configuration. Viewers can also sort the table by the values in any column. **To set the team and period:** 1. Under **Select team and period**, click **Team member is** and select a team. 2. Click **Date period is** and select a time period. 3. Click **Save**. > [!NOTE] > Dashboard filters: > > The **Apply dashboard filters** toggle is on by default. When on, the widget updates when viewers change the dashboard's Team or Period selectors, which is useful for dashboards that different managers use to look at their own teams. Set Team or Date period to a fixed value if this widget should always show the same data regardless of what the dashboard filters are set to. ## Frequently asked questions ****How many metrics can I add to a Team rollup widget?**** As many as you like, but before adding a metric, think about how easy it would be to consume the widget data. ****Why do my color thresholds look wrong for some teams?**** Color thresholds apply the same values to every row. If teams have different baselines, for example enterprise vs. SMB or new reps vs. tenured, a single threshold can be misleading. Consider scoping the widget to one segment at a time, or use separate widgets with different thresholds for each audience. Also check whether **Measure against target** is enabled. When it is, the thresholds apply to attainment percentage, not the raw metric value, which can cause unexpected color results if you set the thresholds expecting raw values. ****How can I compare performance across two different periods?**** Create two Team rollup widgets with the same metrics, set each to a different fixed period, and place them side by side on the dashboard. Alternatively, pair one Team rollup widget with a row of KPI widgets beneath it, one per metric, each set to a second period for comparison.
