# About metrics and targets

> The service known as “Revenue analytics” is now called “Dashboards.” Dashboard assets, like metrics and targets, are now configured in the Admin center under “Data studio.”

[Metrics](/v1/docs/build-your-own-metrics)are quantifiable raw measures used in dashboard widgets to track and assess the performance of business processes and objectives, such as the number of bookings or a win rate.

[Targets](/v1/docs/managing-targets) are predefined goals representing the desired level of performance or achievement for individuals and entire teams.

Both metrics and targets are typically used in dashboard widgets to visualize how well certain aspects of the business or system are performing. By comparing metrics against targets, team members can assess whether they are on track to meet their objectives, identify areas needing improvement, and plan ahead.
