Your admin assigns Enable seats and permission profiles that determine which features each team member can use. Together, the tools show whether coaching is happening and whether target behaviors are changing across the team. ## What Enable does The four stages below form a continuous loop. - Scorecards use AI Call Reviewer to evaluate calls and identify skill gaps. - Managers use the Coaching inbox to give feedback, score calls, and guide team members toward relevant practice. - Team members can use AI Trainer to simulate customer conversations in a controlled environment before applying new skills on live calls. - Coaching metrics and Initiatives complete the loop by showing whether coaching happens consistently and whether target behaviors are adopted across the team. Each stage informs the next: scorecards identify patterns, managers use those insights to guide coaching or assign training, and team members practice the targeted skills. Metrics then show whether the behavior has changed. ## What's included in Enable Enable features are spread across two areas of Gong: Coaching and Insights. | | What it does | Where to find it | | --- | --- | --- | | Coaching inbox | The Coaching inbox is the manager's coaching queue. It identifies team members who need attention and shows open feedback requests and recent coaching activity. | Coaching > Coaching inbox | | AI Call Reviewer/ Scorecards | Scorecards define evaluation criteria for calls. AI Call Reviewer can suggest answers or automatically complete scorecards based on the call transcript. | Assets > Scorecards Scorecards on the call page | | AI Trainer | Lets team members practice through simulated customer conversations. Training contains lessons and practice modules and can include a scorecard for evaluation. | Coaching > My trainings Assets > Trainings | | Coaching metrics | Shows manager coaching activity: calls listened to, feedback given, and scorecards completed, with trends over time. Managers of managers can compare activity across teams. | Coaching > Coaching metrics | | Initiatives | Tracks adoption of specific behaviors, messaging, or methodologies across calls and deals. Shows whether a skill or change appears in conversations. | Insights > Initiatives | ## Ways to give feedback on calls When you open a recorded call, you have four ways to give or log coaching feedback. The one you choose affects how the activity is counted in Coaching metrics. - **Comments:** Timestamped notes you attach to a specific moment in a call. You can tag team members, set visibility to public or private, and add hashtags to make calls searchable. Learn more about [giving feedback through comments](/v1/docs/give-feedback-through-call-comments). - **Feedback requests:** A formal request you send from the call page, asking a specific person, usually your manager, to review the call and respond. Learn more about [requesting feedback on a call](/v1/docs/request-feedback-on-a-call). - **Scorecards:** Structured evaluations with questions and a score. Gong AI can suggest answers based on the transcript. A scorecard submitted for a direct report counts as feedback unless its visibility is set to Scorer. Learn more about [scorecards](/v1/docs/about-scorecards). - **Mark feedback as given:** A way to log that coaching happened outside Gong, such as in a 1:1 or in-person meeting, so it appears in Coaching metrics. Open the call and click **Feedback** in the right panel, then click **Mark it**. ## Seats and access Enable is offered in two tiers with different capability sets. Enable essentials is the foundation for teams that want structured coaching and adoption tracking. The full Enable tier gives team members a way to practice skills in simulation before applying them on live calls. - **Enable essentials seat:** Access to Coaching inbox, Scorecards, AI Call Reviewer, Coaching metrics, and Initiatives - **Enable seat:** Access to everything in Enable essentials, plus AI Trainer for practice and structured training Enable features require a seat assigned by your admin. The seat type determines which features each team member can access. Permission profiles control what team members can do within those features, such as scoring calls, viewing all coaching stats, or managing scorecards. Learn more about [setting up Enable access](/v1/docs/set-up-enable-access). ## Frequently asked questions ****Is Enable available on mobile?**** No. Enable features are available in the Gong web app only. ****What's the difference between Enable and Gong's general coaching tools?**** Basic call feedback, such as adding comments to a call or sharing a recording, is available to anyone with call access and doesn't require an Enable seat. Enable adds structured coaching and measurement: Coaching inbox, Scorecards, AI Call Reviewer, Coaching metrics, Initiatives, and AI Trainer. ****What does it mean if the Coaching page shows an upgrade prompt?**** The team member either doesn't have an Enable essentials seat or an Enable seat assigned, or their permission profile doesn't include Coaching page access. Learn more about [troubleshooting Enable access issues](/v1/docs/troubleshoot-enable-access-issues). Any team member can access this feature if they have the required permissions.
